MY APPROACH
Understanding Begins with Curiosity
Therapy is an invitation to take an honest look at yourself: the parts you're proud of, the parts you struggle with, and even the parts that don't seem to make sense. We're often encouraged to keep moving forward without stopping to ask how we arrived where we are. Sometimes, though, looking back isn't about reliving the past. It's about understanding how it continues to shape the present.
Together, we'll look at what you've learned about yourself, what you've carried with you, and what still fits the life you're living now. The goal isn't to rewrite your past, but to understand it well enough that it doesn't have to keep making decisions for you.
Change begins with understanding.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Therapy is a conversation
My style is conversational, engaged, and curious. I ask questions, share my thoughts, and truly want to know when my understanding doesn’t match yours. I’m comfortable saying “I don’t know,” changing my mind, and looking at something again when the first explanation doesn’t quite fit.
I’m also comfortable with difficult conversations, complicated circumstances, and things that don’t have an easy answer. My experience includes working with depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use concerns, significant life stressors, and more acute concerns, such as suicidality and homicidality.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before we begin. We’ll start with what you know and work from there.
HOW I CAN HELP
Areas of Focus
People rarely come to therapy because they have a diagnosis. More often, they come because something in life no longer feels sustainable. These are some of the concerns I commonly help clients explore.
Anxiety
when your mind rarely slows down
Trauma
When the past continues to shape the present
ADHD
Understand how your mind works and how to work with it
→
Depression
When life begins to feel smaller than it once did
Life transitions
Working with seasons of change
Grief
Supporting you through life's most difficult goodbyes
Identity & Growth
Exploring who you are and who you are becoming
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Grounded in research. Guided by curiosity.
My professional background has consistently centered on working with people during complicated and high-stakes moments. I have experience in outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, suicide and violence risk assessment and management, and consultation with other professionals navigating complex clinical situations.
These experiences have shaped the way I practice today. I’m comfortable working with complexity, thinking carefully about risk, and recognizing that a person is always more than the circumstances that brought them into the room.
I founded the Eisenmann Clinic to build a practice grounded in thoughtful, individualized care and the belief that understanding should come before assumptions.
The perspective I bring
My approach to therapy is grounded in collaboration. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to bring clinical knowledge, thoughtful questions, and evidence-based tools that help you better understand yourself and move toward the life you want to create.
My work draws from several evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). Depending on your goals, I may also incorporate self-compassion, psychoeducation, EMDR-informed interventions, hypnotherapy, and other therapeutic approaches when appropriate. Rather than relying on a single method, I tailor therapy to the person sitting in front of me.
I have worked with individuals facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, suicidality, chronic medical conditions, and major life transitions. I also bring both professional experience and personal understanding of the ways chronic illness and chronic pain can shape daily life, relationships, and identity.
One perspective that continues to influence my work comes from Viktor Frankl's belief that while we cannot always control our circumstances, we can choose how we respond to them. That philosophy aligns closely with the way I practice: helping people understand themselves more fully, identify the values that guide them, and move forward with greater intention.
